♦ Membership As Added Value Being associated with a highly regarded network like LCA, an organisation which is recognised locally, regionally and nationally, has a value in itself. It helps add to your business standing. CQC recognise the benefit to a provider from being an active member of a professional network.
♦ Representation The association is constantly lobbying and campaigning on behalf of its members and articulating the quality care sector voice. The more members we have the stronger that voice. Our key forum with the local authority has been the Health and Social Care Partnership Steering Group in the LCC area. We also contribute to the Regulated Care Sector Workstream, part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria ICS, which has a subgroup on fees and finances.
♦ Peer Group Support Being a member helps you plug into the LCA network and the informal peer group support you get from the Board and from the LCA offices. Networks work and successful businesses are run by people who network well. LCA is a leadership body for the independent sector and a key network for any provider in Lancashire and the North West.
♦ Registered Care Managers Network (RCMN) LCA facilitates the RCMN in Lancashire. These are small group, ‘safe space’ meetings held around the county every 6 weeks or so and the local meetings feed into the RCMN workshop at annual conference. For more information read here

♦ Marketing When choosing a care home or domiciliary provider families and service users will gain confidence from your being an LCA member. Your LCA certificate should be prominently displayed. The LCA logo should be prominent on your website.
