A Message From The Chair
If you are a care home or domiciliary care provider in the Lancashire area, LCA is your voice. We speak for and represent larger groups and smaller independents, private and 3rd sector providers, younger adults and older people.
Keep in touch with what we’re doing through our newsletter every 2/52 (if you have not registered for your copy, just contact Sarah on email@example.com) and through this website. Attend our seminars and annual conference with CMM/Care Choices (21 September this year) and, for our members, we look forward to seeing you at our AGM (28 June).
Our Board addresses LCA Co Ltd matters but also acts as a provider ‘hub’ and we welcome colleagues from the Lancashire Domiciliary Care Provider Forum, the Lancashire Learning Disability Consortium, the Chair of the Care Home Forum and the Secretary of the Registered Care Manager Network as well as our Safeguarding Lead, Marie Hill, who attends the LSAB on our behalf, to our quarterly meetings.
Look out for information on our work with the Health and Social Care Partnership with Lancs County Council, our work through the new Regulated Care Sector Workstream as part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Change Programme and our input to the Lancs Safeguarding Adults Board.
We have engaged with a range of consultations this year (copies of these are available on this website) and we have also contributed feedback to LCC’s Draft Market Position Statement reiterating our core lobbying points on fees, regulation, Safeguarding, workforce and, crucially, respect for independent sector providers and Registered Managers.
The LCA aims to provide effective representation for providers of quality care and support to adults across Lancashire. In so doing, we also seek to play our part in unifying the independent sector regionally and nationally in order to provide a coherent voice for the sector. We strive to improve the recognition of quality and potential within the independent sector.
Please support us, join now – we are only as strong as our membership!
