The People at LCA (Board & Staff)
Lancashire Care Association (LCA) has been representing quality independent sector providers in Lancashire since 1992 and has been a not-for-profit company since 2001. There is a small core staff and a dedicated Board of volunteers who together carry the workload. The core staff and Board are assisted by Logical Care in their membership services, online services and marketing.
LCA mainly covers the LCC area but also has significant membership in Blackpool and members in Blackburn with Darwen and adjoining areas. LCA represents the independent sector (private and charitable providers), younger adults and older people, care homes and domiciliary care, larger groups and smaller independents. This mix is reflected in the Board make-up and is an important principle within the framework of LCA.
The LCA Board is made up of directors from various backgrounds within the care sector who between them bring a wealth of experience to the LCA for the benefit of its members. Anyone with an interest in contributing to the Board’s work should contact email@example.com for an informal talk. Each year one third of the Board make their places available for new Directors at LCA’s Annual General Meeting.
