Why Choose an LCA Member? Why Choose An LCA Member? Whether you are making decisions about care in a care home setting or at home, the Lancashire Care Association is a long established and highly respected association within the care sector, recognised both on a local and a national level. Totally Committed Our members are all committed not only to ensuring they provide the highest levels of quality care but also to the ongoing development and training of personnel and the quality of the environment provided for residents, relatives and staff. Dignity and It is the aim of every member within the LCA to provide a comfortable, caring and stable environment in which individuality of care and maintenance of dignity and independence are paramount for residents or service users who entrust us with their care, or those who are entrusted to us by family or friends. Ongoing Training Lancashire Care Association has been established for over 15 years and is able to ensure its membership has the best possible access to all the very latest training resources through its long standing and close relationships with such organisations as Skills for Care and the Lancashire Workforce Development Partnership. The LCA was instrumental in the formation of LWDP training grants from which saw 2,500 candidates achieve NVQ’s and 6,500 short courses provided for the year ending March ’07. Independent Quality Assurance All of our members undergo rigorous and regular inspections by CSCI (Commission for Social Care Inspection). However LCA also requests that all of its members has at least one, externally accredited Quality Assurance System in place. The current recognised systems are the RDB Star Rating, ISO or Investors in People. Many of our members have two of these three options. The award of certification from all of these bodies has to be renewed annually and is yet another sign of the commitment of our membership, to the provision of quality care. Excellent Support Network Even the best run businesses encounter problems from time to time. LCA members benefit from a huge array of support services from leading individuals and companies from all possible areas. From legal advice and H.R to information on the latest Fire regulations and product information LCA members have the very best companies on hand to ensure that small problems don’t become major issues. Members also benefit from the considerable expertise available through its board of directors and the vast pool of knowledge that comes from both our member owners and managers. Improving Care Standards Lancashire Care Association has worked hard over many years to develop a strong working relationship with Lancashire County Council, a relationship based on mutual trust and respect. As a result of this the LCA now meet with LCC every month as part of the Social Care Partnership to discuss ways of improving the availability, quality and funding of care. The views of our association and its members make a real difference in improving care standards throughout the county. The Very Best Lancashire Care Association is one of the largest and most active care associations in the country. Our strength means that we are able to source the very best products and services from the smallest local supplier to the largest national companies. Our members can and do, demand the highest possible levels of service and quality and the best possible prices. This ensures that our service users, our residents, our guests are able to enjoy the very best and our members are able to provide more of those extra little touches that can make such a difference.
