ANDREW SMITH HOUSE

Andrew Smith House is purpose built and registered for 60 beds.  The home has been awarded an Excellent status from CSCI, and has recently attained preferred provider status for MS.

Located in Marsden Hall Road North, the home is on a bus route with all amenities within walking distance.

The emphasis throughout is on homeliness and informality so that the residents fell happy and at home.

The home has 4 separate units offering various specialities. We have a Young Physically Disabled unit that offers full time and respite to service users age ranging 18-65.  We have a EMD unit offering care to service users with various mental health needs.  The home also has a rehabilitation centre that offers a MDT approach enabling service users to recover and hopefully go home.  The home also has a large elderly nursing unit.

At Nelson we also have 7 beds providing rehabilitation care that will enables clients to return to their own homes when they are feeling better.
