Martin McHugh, Carewatch (Lancaster & Morecambe)

I started my business, County Care Services Limited T/A Carewatch (Lancaster & Morecambe), nearly ten years ago. Based in the Morecambe Bay area we provide Domiciliary Care Services, including Extra Care, and are Preferred Providers to LCC for Elderly and Mental Health service provision.

As a UKHCA member I have been involved in the Dom Working Group since its formation and have always tried to play a proactive and constructive role.

My career prior to being involved in Care (if I can recall a previous life) was based in the finance sector.

I am a keen hobby farmer and enjoy fresh air and the countryside. I am also a Rotarian. I enjoy spending most of my time with my family who also get roped into many of the jobs entailed with hobby farming.

I have been impressed with the transition that the LCA has made in the last few years, particularly the more balanced approach to the sector as a whole. I am keen to see that journey continue and would be happy to join the association and contribute appropriately.
