Clinical and Medical waste disposal

WELCOME TO CONTANE ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

Contane is the market leader in the supply and collection of sanitary hygiene units, washroom services and the collection, transportation and safe disposal of clinical, medical and hazardous waste.

With over 20 years experience, Contane offers unrivalled standards of service based on a total commitment to customer satisfaction.  Our services are friendly, discreet and totally professional whilst complying with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.

Operating throughout Northern England and Wales, our drivers are fully insured and uniformed.  Furthermore, they are ADR trained which ensures that they understand the legislation that governs the transportation of hazardous waste.  In addition to this we also employ the services of a fully qualified DGSA (Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor).

Our washroom products and sanitary hygiene units are made to the highest standard and all our clinical and hazardous waste containers are UN approved.

Contane owns and operates a modern fleet of dedicated purpose-built vehicles featuring separate, fully sealed compartments enabling totally safe transportation of waste and eliminating cross contamination from waste to clean stock.

SANITARY HYGIENE

Contane provides a professional, and discreet scheduled sanitary hygiene service to suit your individual needs, whether you require a weekly or fortnightly visit, Contane can accommodate.

Contane operates 3 types of sanitary hygiene services;

• Bin Exchange – each sanitary bin is replaced with an empty, fully sanitised, internally and externally clean bin at each service.
• Internal Liner Exchange – a polythene liner inside each sanitary bin is replaced at each service. The unit remains in situ and is internally and externally cleaned by our service operator before replacing it with a new liner. The old liner and its contents are disposed of according to legislation.
• Single Life Container – a sanitary bin which is used only once and replaced with a brand new one at each service. The old unit is then taken away for proper disposal.

All 3 types of sanitary hygiene units are pre-treated with a scented anti-bacterial agent.

CLINICAL & MEDICAL WASTE DISPOSAL (HEALTHCARE WASTE)

Contane provides both internal and external clinical waste bins of various sizes, clinical waste sacks, theatre bins, sharp boxes, drugs buckets and doom kits for the destruction of old or unwanted medicines.  We provide a scheduled service to suit your individual needs, whether you require a daily, weekly or an annual visit, Contane can accommodate.

HAZARDOUS WASTE CONTAINERS

On 16th July 2005 new Hazardous Waste Regulations came into effect. Every company in the UK with the exception of Scotland must follow the new regulations.

Everyday items such as laser toner cartridges, ink jet cartridges, aerosols, paint tins, batteries, fluorescent tubes etc. are all classed as hazardous waste and can not be placed in the normal waste stream.

Contanes new service provides a cost effective collection and disposal service for small quantities of hazardous waste. Our 60 litre containers are UN approved, lightweight and waterproof and can be stored inside or outside your premises.  Tell us when you need your container emptying and we will come and do it.  We will even complete the consignment note as part of the service.

WASHROOM SERVICES

Our wide choice of products ensures a stylish washroom image with quick, professional and discreet maintenance and replenishment whenever you need it.  Contane supplies and maintains products manufactured to the highest standard both stylish and practical by design.

We can supply and service; Air fresheners, soap dispensers, vending machines, hand dryers and sanitizers – the total washroom package.
