BIRCH GREEN CARE HOME

Set in extensive landscaped gardens, Birch Green Care Home provides high quality nursing and residential care for 74 elderly people within a warm, homely environment.

Dedicated, highly skilled staff provide a wide range of person centred services including:

The purpose built home, which first opened in 1990 and came under Springhill management ten years later in October 2000, has undergone extensive refurbishment.

Birch Green is proud of its holistic, person centred approach to care and residents are encouraged to make the most of an extensive social programme drawn up by its permanent  activities co-ordinator. Entertainment includes regular concerts, quizzes, discussions and outings to local places of interest.

A committed staff team - whose members are all encouraged to undergo extensive ongoing training - achieved the prestigious Investor in People award in September 2001.

Residents can relax in their comfortable single rooms or in attractive communal lounges and a sunroom on the ground floor. For those who enjoy  the fresh air, there is a pleasant patio area  outside.

Situated just one mile from the centre of Skelmersdale and on a main bus route, it is convenient both for visitors and the nearby Concourse shopping centre, where able residents regularly enjoy escorted visits.

STOCKS HALL NURSING HOME

Stocks Hall is an architecturally designed purpose built care home. It is within close proximity of the M58 motorway network, yet remains in a rural setting with easy access to Ormskirk, Southport and Merseyside.

Stocks Hall caters for general, medical and elderly mentally frail. 24 hour superior nursing care is provided with ongoing staff training to maintain a service of excellence.

The home also caters for daycare respite, whether for one nights rest or onwards.

The 56 single rooms and 2 double rooms with en-suite are all above average size and are light and airy. All rooms have nurse call and TV points. There are 6 lounges, 4 of which overlook the landscaped gardens.
