Our main aim is to provide a "home from home" for all our guests. We take great pride in making sure that our guests feel completely comfortable, feel they are among friends and will never hesitate to ask for anything they need... in other words, they feel totally at home.

Alsley Lodge is a registered Private Residential Care Home providing accomodation for 24 guests. The building has been refurbished to the highest standards. It is all on one level with no steps or stairs to negotiate. There are 23 spacious single rooms, of which 12 have en-suite facilities, and 1 double bedroom with en-suite. Charges vary at Alsley Lodge according to the type of room booked and the level of care required. We are happy to arrange a weekend, a few days, short or long periods of care.

The main lounge is tastefully decorated and furnished. The conservatory lounge provides a change of scenery overlooking the well stocked gardens. The pleasant dining room looks out onto an open courtyard with its interesting pool and fountain feature.

Visitors are always welcome and there is ample car parking space provided.

Alsley Lodge staff are on duty twenty-four hours a day, providing a superb standard of personal and general care.

Any inspection is invited without obligation if you should wish to call in for a coffee and a chat to discuss your needs. You are assured of a warm welcome from either Matron, Mrs. Jennifer Chapman, the Unit Manager, Mrs. Tracey Farrington or any of the staff, some of whom have worked at the home since its' opening in 1991. Standing majestically in acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, dating back to the 17th century, the home was originally built as a family home, hence its previous name Asmall House. It now boasts two purpose built extensions designed to compliment its original homely comforts and situated within two miles from the centre of Ormskirk. Only half a mile from the bus stop but within easy reach of other community activities by mini-bus or taxi, Asmall Hall is a haven for those with care needs.

The 45 rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable, the majority with en-suite facilities. There are 4 spacious lounges.

At Ormskirk we also have 8 beds providing rehabilitation care that will enables clients to return to their own homes when they are feeling better.

We have recently opened a 27 bed unit with specially trained staff for the care of residents with dementia.
