At Hillcroft Care Home the team of dedicated nurses and carers provide 24 hour care for 54 elderly residents. The staff are trained to satisfy the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of all the people in our care.

Hillcroft Care Home slyne is a purpose built care home located in Slyne-with-Hest, situated within easy reach of Lancaster, Morecambe, Carnforth and surrounding areas on a main bus route.

We are a 36 bedded home split into two units providing 24hour nursing care. One unit is for frail elderly and consists of 16 beds and the other is a 20 bedded EMI unit. My team of dedicated nurses and carers are committed to quality and providing a warm, friendly and homely atmosphere at all times. All the staff are trained to the highest standards and updated on a regular basis.

Our rooms are single and en-suite and all have views overlooking the large surrounding gardens. We encourage our residents to personalise their rooms with photographs and personal mementos to create a homely environment. Staff encourage residents to take part in the wide range of and to continue with their own hobbies and interests as well as taking them on outings.

We also work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team e.g. GPs, chiropodist, dentist and optician who visit when required. If you require more information and to look around, our manager would be happy to meet with you at any time and discuss your needs.

THORNTON LODGE RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME

Thornton Lodge is an independent Residential Care Home specialising in mental health.

The home is proud to offer a warm, caring and friendly environment for adults and elderly people with mental health needs.

Thornton Lodge is located in the North West seaside town of Morecambe just one hundred yards from the sands of Morecambe Bay and the four mile promenade.  The town centre is within easy access as well as the nearby university city of Lancaster.

The home is managed on a day-to-day basis by the owner, Rod Taylor supported by a full time manager and senior care staff.

Thornton Lodge boasts an experienced, stable workforce, consisting of carers who are fully certified to NVQ level or who are working towards these qualifications.  In order to ensure that the highest standards of care are maintained the home adopts the following core values of care:  privacy, rights, dignity, independence, choice, fulfilment, security, respect and equality.

A new extension of the home has recently been completed.  This has created extra bedrooms with en-suite facilities, a fully adapted bathroom and much larger communal areas.  The garden has also been newly landscaped and now provides a functional vegetable garden for use by all residents.
