CHESTNUT GROVE REST HOME

The philosophy of care is that each resident can be sure that their rights to privacy, dignity and freedom of choice will be respected at all times and that they will be valued as a special and unique individual in the home. We aim to be 'home from home' and to create a 'family' atmosphere.

Mary Kneen RGN RMN is the resident owner of Chestnut Grove Rest Home and takes great professional care in providing a friendly, loving and efficient service to all residents.

Chestnut Grove is situated along a private drive in a quiet residential area of Lostock Hall. It is only two minutes drive from junction 29 of the M6 motorway and both Preston and Leyland are easily reached by car or public transport.

Furnishing and decor throughout the home are to a high standard. There are seven single rooms and two double rooms all offering comfort and privacy and our residents are encouraged to personalise their own rooms how they wish. The spacious lounge, with TV area, overlooks a large lawned garden which is bordered by Chestnut trees and shrubs.

Staffing levels exceed the statutory requirements and there is always a Manager and or Senior Care Staff on duty.

The home is committed to promoting equal opportunities to ensure that people are not discriminated against on any basis. This is in order that residents, their carers, the staff and any visitor to the home feel valued. The home is especially committed to promoting awareness regarding cultural needs.
Respite care or temporary stay is welcomed.

Potential residents, their relatives and friends are positively encouraged to visit the home at anytime to gain as much information as possible.

Clough House

Clough House

Clough House Residential Care Home is situated in a beautiful lovely conservation area in the centre of Leyland, close to Worden Park, St Andrews Church, Leyland Cross and the Tesco Supermarket and shopping area. It was built at the end of the 17th Century as a private dwelling house, but with the addition of a six bed roomed extension became a care home in the late 80s.

Residents are accommodated on two floors, with chair lift access to the first floor. There are 12 single rooms and one shared room, some with beamed ceilings, two spacious lounge areas, as well as a separate dining room and a enclosed garden to the rear accompanied with garden areas to front.

The care home provides all the mod cons that one would come to expect from a modern day care home from the comprehensive nurse call system to modern day central heating and double glazing.

All food is prepared and freshly cooked on the premises with a choice of menus.
A varied menu of traditional home cooking is provided as well as diabetic and specialist diets where specified.

All staff are suitably trained in care services, the majority with NVQ qualifications. The home proudly holds a 4*star rating RDB certificate and is a preferred provider of care for Lancashire County Council, we are also members of Lancashire Care Association and the National Care association.

Visitors are welcome at all times without appointments.
